My childhood sparkie mate (30) asked me if it was possible to use AI to "chat" with the AS3000 wiring rules standard, without hallucination (yes, it is - Google NotebookLM)

My childhood mate and I (both 30) have kept in touch over the years despite moving to different states and pursuing different careers. He knows I work in IT/AI space, and reached out about uploading the standard to an AI chatbot like chatgpt and chatting with it.

Chatgpt can hallucinate, however Google Gemini NotebookLM is specifically designed for study notes and learning, and it's free. You can upload 50 standards and probably still not hit the limits. Here is a summary of the difference: "NotebookLM is a specialised, source-grounded research tool designed to analyse your uploaded documents, websites, and YouTube videos, offering high precision and direct citations. ChatGPT is a versatile, creative, and general-purpose conversational AI trained on massive external datasets, ideal for brainstorming, writing, and broader knowledge tasks"

Best of all, you can access NotebookLM using the gemini app, like the chatgpt app on your phone, download it from any app store. Any youtube video will show you how to set it up (5 mins max).

It helped him, and I hope it helps you guys.

I'm from Australia and worked as a contractor for the last 3 years, following leaving full-time roles (5 years). My going rate was the equivalent of 600 pounds/day - I worked as a project/delivery lead originally in the enterprise software space and naturally morphed into the AI/agentic space, delivering internal projects for a large multinational, working alongside BAs and Devs.

I've now settled in London, and I understand this is a one-liner, but I'm wondering how realistic it is to achieve these rates in the current UK market?

I have found job ads advertising the rates are limited.

Any thoughts or recent experiences are greatly appreciated.

This happens around 2-3 times a run (30-90min session).

I'm unsure if this is the watch, or the headphones, or both.

Does this happen to anyone else? Any resolutions?

I do connect my headphones to my phone at the gym, ideally I can keep two devices. The phone doesn't come with me on the run and I make sure the bluetooth on my phone is off. Also tried clearing the devices on the headphones, and it still happens.

It's so distracting and frustrating when my pace updates and music just go silent, then I need to reconnect mid run, especially for the price point on these products.
