100+ year old japanese laceleaf
Beautiful old tree in my backyard - love the way the branches intertwine and fuse back into each other. You can see a ladder for scale in the second picture.
Any ideas on how old it is? It looks pretty big back in aerial** (not satellite) images of the area from back in the 1930s so its gotta be at least 100.
Edit: thanks to those of you who called out satellite’s weren’t a thing until the 50s. It was late when I posted this and I def meant aerial images from 1936.
