I’m looking to have a custom Bash script developed to automate part of our reporting workflow.

What I need the script to do:

Create a standardized folder structure for each product
Rename folders and files using a serial number as the primary identifier
Update specific values inside a Word document template (serial number, weight, and contract number)
Ensure all naming conventions and formatting remain consistent across outputs

Workflow context:

Each product has three reports that are scanned and placed into its corresponding folder
These reports are used to extract key data (serial number, weight, contract number)
The script should take that data and apply it to folder names, file names, and the Word document

Environment:

I can provide a virtual desktop with placeholder data that mirrors our real setup
All inputs/outputs can be standardized for testing
