Crackpot PC theory (feel free to refute me in the comments)
So I have a theory. What if, PC part manufacturers are purposefully creating shortages on PC parts to make it almost impossible for most consumers to build their own pc, thus making them have to turn to either laptops with poor specs or cloud gaming? Stick with me here, here is my evidence:
All PC part companies benefit from this. Or in other words, this is a net positive for them. Nvidia benefits because they are the ones who own the cloud service, and an annual subscription makes them more money than single graphics card purchases. Other companies benefit because they have a guaranteed set of people buying their stock (other companies), and for the few that do decide to buy parts, it's at an insanely marked up price due to the "shortage", still making their money back.
Each valuable PC part is getting knocked off the affordable shelf one by one. What I mean,is that vital parts of a build (GPU, RAM, CPU, Motherboard, and whatever comes next...) are all going through simultaneous shortages, thus making it impossible to build a pc, and making anyone who wants to upgrade/buy a new pc either pay a horribly inflated price or pay for some service (both of which earning the companies a lot more money)
If you want the TLDR, just read the first paragraph. Sorry if this is written poorly,I hope I got my point across.
