Sharing some tips after spending a couple weeks in this tent.
* Strapping the tent to the bottom of your pack can result in holes! And holes lead to rips. The provided tent and pole sacks are just not up to this. The hard poles and rocky ground cut through both sacks within two days, especially near the pole tips, then I ripped the tent sack while stuffing the tent. Rolling the poles inside the tent might help, or it might result in holes in the tent. Through hikers usually put their tent inside their pack, but lots of section hikers like me strap it on the outside. If you do, consider putting at least the poles inside your pack, which I do to keep them away from the delicate tent fabric. I also ordered a more durable tent sack. UltraLiteSacks has an 8.5x22 compression in UX10 for $30, and HikeLite on Etsy has a 6x20 in Dyneema for $25 that will work. (8.5" folded is roughly 6" diameter)
* Tension the fly corners correctly to avoid floppy sides. Lengthen the rain fly straps, set up the tent, then snug up the straps. The poles need to be spread out first, then the fly tightened over them to get a taught pitch.
* Stake one end, then insert poles in the other. This will keep the tent from running away from you while you tension the poles, while letting the poles spread out fully.
Hope this helps!
