I find the footwear we are given in the online delivery driver role woefully inadequate. They are cheaply made with bad material which cause my feet to sweat and smell(which doesn’t happen when wearing any other footwear I own) this can go on to cause fungal issues. I was moaned at by a 4s manager for not wearing the correct footwear so I asked if I could wear some alternative footwear which meet the same safety standards of the company ones. I was told no, I dont feel that this is an unreasonable request tbh, surely as long as they are black meet the sal safety standards in regard to grip then it shouldn’t be an issue? I personally feel we should be wearing steel toes considering the weight of some of the totes/items. Is the manager lying to me, should I ask someone higher up?
