To not rely on sketchy websites online for mp3 and mp4 downloads, I made Infrared Music.
Quick Warning: This is a sideloaded apk. Google will throw a "Developer Not Verified" warning during install which is normal for indie projects not on the Play Store. The app is safe and verified by VirusTotal, which you can view on the github page. Please press "Install Anyway" to proceed.
This was meant to be a small service for myself to download songs and videos (from youtube for now, will extend to spotify) using RapidAPI endpoints, but then realised that I would make this available for anyone else to do the same.
Yes I added ads and a premium version but I made sure NOTHING is intrusive/blocks the user's activity and experience. Premium is for 5 rupees ~ 0.05 dollars (not trying to get this sold here, I only mentioned this to show that this is not intended to be a money printing app).
People willing to test it can gain lifetime premium access by using one of the 5 codes given below.

with the money I earn from this hopefully, I'll buy a custom domain, premium RapidAPI endpoints to increase the download quota for non-premium users and try to get this approved on google play store (25 dollar fee which im trying to earn for)
ADS IN THE APP: Banner ads and rewarded ads have been implemented. Rewarded ads can be viewed only by user's consent to increase their download quota and/or peer2peer sharing quota. If you find the ads placement to be 'aggressive' do let me know. Banner ads don't work for now since the app is sideloaded with very little traffic; the ad spots dont get filled.
Any and all suggestions, recommendations, advice, bugs, features are welcome. I'll be however pausing dev for a bit.
