A new guy joined our workplace and during lunch he would always turn off his phone the boss kept getting annoyed about it until one day the guy just calmly said you don’t pay for my phone it’s my personal property when you provide a work phone I’ll carry it and even then it stays in the office during lunch and my own phone I’ll turn off whenever I want and that was it the boss had nothing to say after that and the funny thing is the guy turned out to be a really strong specialist and clearly not someone you can push around
