Hello! Been tooling around with my old school brushed whoop and I have been having a strange issue with my new(ish) vtx and camera. I am running an old brushed Betaflight F4 controller with a new Pinch camera and HappyModel OVX300 VTX from the Tiny Whoop store. The issue I have been having is that the VTX, when soldered directly to the battery terminal gets serious video signal noise whenever the motors are turning. I am aware the ideal setup would be to solder it to the dedicated 5v pad on the FC, but due to some issue with the FC it will only allow me roughly 3 seconds of super low power before it locks out all controls until power is reset. I have tested it soldered to both pads with a much older(and heavier) style AIO camera-VTX unit and it did not have the same issue. I would be more than happy to replace the suspect FC but as brushed whoops have fallen out of favor in recent years there aren't any more for sale. Does anybody know if a capacitor would fix the issue and if so what size? Or possibly an alternate location on the board to pull 5v from? While I would be surprised I would also not totally rule out some sort of software issue as I was never very familiar with the setup and only learned enough to get it flying(and many years ago at that). If all else fails I can still run the older camera for the time being. Thanks! (PS: if anyone has an old betaflight brushed FC they want to get rid of let me know!)
