Anshul Singhal sir appreciation post. (Not PR, you can checkout my profile, I haven't hidden anything)

I have always been average in maths and scored only 75%ile in it in Mains April attempt. I have tried TK sir, Manoj Chauhan sir, and Arvind Kalia across my 2 years journey but I have never received what I actually needed in maths. The biggest problem with every teacher was that they'd take up questions and write their solutions as if they summoned it from thin air. I always got annoyed with it. Though with Arvind Kalia sir, it was fixed but I didn't want to take risk in my drop year so went ahead and purchased acadza course. I came to know about Anshul sir from his youtube videos (W clickbaits btw) and from the people of JEEadv sub. At first I hesitated in purchasing it as i thought 11k was too high. I consulted with my parents and even searched for local tutors in Kolkata. All of them were asking 2-5k a month which I felt was a gamble as I was unsure about their performance.

I went ahead and purchased the acadza maths course, watched some lectures of definite integration and attended today's live class. Sir took time and explained concepts slowly which is a boon for weak students. I won't call it spoonfeeding but rather helping you to learn how to walk by holding hands initially. The classes are held in google meet so you always have two way communication. The batch size is also very small with 60 students in our droppers' batch.

I'm hopeful for the future and I am quite confident that I'll be able to score at least 99 in maths in my drop year. I also took Vinay Uppal sir's physics course due to similar reasons and to have interaction with the teacher. His content is significantly different from most coaching teachers' and is very relevant for modern day JEE advanced. Albeit a bit on the expensive side for some.

This isn't a PR post and neither Vinay Uppal sir nor Anshul sir have paid me to promote their courses. Lena hai to lelo, especially if you're a dropper and has become nihilistic due to loneliness.

Most people say that Resonance and Competishun modules are identical but I have found that Reso (for physics) has mostly the standard type of questions in the exercises which are quite old and are covered in class illustrations. I like their HLP section but the number of questions is less compared to Competishun's extra edge. I'm thinking to do Extra edge for physics and maths and for Chemistry I'll just do resonance ALP.

I'm a dropper. JEE '27.
