Sensory issues and hajj
I’d love to do hajj one day inshallah. I just have severe sensory issues with it comes to things on my head. I can’t even wear a hat. I don’t wear hijab when I pray anymore because I would rush prayers with the intention of getting it off because it felt like needles were suffocating me.
If I went to do hajj, is it possible that I wouldn’t have to wear hijab because of my autism or sensory issues? They’ve gotten so bad that I’ll scratch myself raw to get the feeling off of my body of clothing that wasn’t comfortable or I’ll scratch myself raw on my scalp for wearing a hat in winter, if I can get myself to wear one.
Ultimately, what should I do? Any advice? I’ve tried different materials and it comes down to the pressure on my head and it wrapping around my neck and touching my ears. It’s not just hijab I struggle with. It’s ANYTHING on my head.
