Am I the jerk?

I bought a CPO 2022 OBW about 2.5 weeks ago. Has 48k miles. I probably paid a bit more for it than I should have, but I've always wanted a geyser blue OBW and I didn't know how easily I'd have the chance again. The car is used, I get it... the cladding is a little faded (a LOT faded in some areas), there are some scratches (ones they didn't really acknowledge. Not a big deal, I wanted this car. It's a wilderness, no problem with some wear marks like that.

The other day I came out to go to work only to find quite a bit of water all over the dashboard, and floor, on both sides of the car. Couldn't find any cause for it, so I brought it into the dealer I purchased it from.

After a few hours, the service guy calls me and tells me the windshield seal is almost completely failed and a ton of water came in when they tested it. He said they'd have it fixed at no cost by tomorrow. I hang up and get to thinking... the cladding in the windshield area, the door seals... it just seems odd that so many plastics are already this faded, along with the windshield seal failing.

I call the guy back and say it seems odd that it could have been missed during the 152 pt inspection. Before I could say anything else, he gets in a huff and gives me a "whaddya want me to do?" I explain I'm not trying to get anything, I just want them to double check any plastics or hoses that could have degraded like the seal.

He tells me they'll do that. He then very calmly and non-chalatantly says he doesn't think they could have missed it during the inspection. I very politely asked him what he meant, and he clarified that it must have happened after it was sold. This got me absolutely furious, but I maintained my polite attitude. I asked him how he thought it was possible I could have A. caused the windshield seal to fail, and B. have done this in the first two weeks of ownership.

He gave me a lot of nothing back and told me it would be ready tomorrow and that "you're going to have to pay anything for it anyway. We're taking care of it." Which also didn't make me feel great.

I won't be going back here for service, despite buying 5 cars from them in the last 15 years. Is this something I should talk to the service manager about, or just let it go? Do you think the windshield seal may be indicative of other things I should be on the lookout for?
