How do you recommend I fill in the gapabove the electrical outlet?

Did I do it wrong? I didn't think one large tile was possible because of how thin the top tile are above the outlet would've needed to be

I just put the last row of tiles on so the adhesive is still fresh....

How do you keep your tools clean during and after the job? This stuff is already caked on quickly

I wipe down the trowels to remove bits that have dried inbetween the notches but it's stubborn to remove

Any tips?

Wet tile from using wet tile saw - do I need to let it dry before putting it on the wall against tile adhesive? It's slightly damp after wiping down

Tile is slightly damp on the back fresh from having been used in my wet tile saw....concerned the dampness on the backing may inhibit good bonding with the tile adhesive 😅

Should I let it dry and scrap off the tile adhesive on the wall in the mean time?

Please advise

Completing a DIY backsplash in my bathroom using premixed thin set and a 1/4" x 3/8" trowel

While smearing thin set, I keep getting large chunks of thin set pillowing up between the wedges of the trowel

How do I prevent this from happening? I'm angling the trowel at 45' while I spread the thin set

The alarm is plugged into the furnace room but it's never read 39 before. I only took notice when the alarm was beeping for a battery change.

I have a secondary MO alarm on the main floor ( the furnace is in the basement ) which has peak level at 0.

I know it's generally advised to not have the alarm in the same room as a combustible furnace bc it can cause 'false' levels but ive never seen 39 as a peak ppm level before
