Dilemma: 98" 98P89K or 98" C6K

Hey, I’ve got a bit of a dilemma and I’m hoping for some rational advice.

Right now I have an LG C1 OLED 65" in my living room. I’m planning to move it to the bedroom because:

  • the living room is very bright during the day and the OLED feels a bit wasted there (it’s simply too dim in daylight),
  • I actually watch more movies in the bedroom in the evenings, so the OLED would be better used there.

In the living room I want to buy a 98" TV.
Viewing distance in the living room is around 4.2 meters.

Use case:

  • watching about one episode of a TV show during the day,
  • occasional PS5 gaming (mainly when GTA 6 comes out),
  • screen sharing / YouTube and AirPlay from my phone,
  • occasionally watching a movie with friends.

Budget‑wise, I’m looking at:

  • an entry‑level 98" QLED I can get for about 6,900 PLN (~1,630 EUR),
  • or a TCL 98C6K QD‑Mini LED for about 9,000 PLN (~2,130 EUR).

At first I was planning to just grab the entry‑level QLED, but the more I read, the more I wonder if I should pay extra for the C6K, and then again I start thinking if I shouldn’t just go one step further to something like the C7K. I’m afraid I’ll end up buying a high‑end TV for a lot of money that I won’t really use that much anyway.

Are these prices decent, or should I wait for some promotions/deals?

So my question is: given my use case and viewing distance, is a basic 98" QLED good enough, or does it actually make sense to pay extra for the cheapest Mini LED (like the TCL C6K)? And if so, is it worth going even further to something like the C7K, or is that overkill for this kind of mixed, fairly casual use?
