Hello everyone! This isn't REALLY college advice need, but I didn't find a better flair. Anyways, I am a sophomore and my parents have been pressuring me on deciding what I should do in the future and what colleges I should apply to.
I am mostly a B student EXCEPT for my math class. I have always loved math, it just clicked for me, I look for patterns and solve. A friend of mine is in college and gave me some kind of problem from their class, he explained what each symbol meant that i haven't seen before in the equation, and, boom, 5 minutes and i solved it, and i happen to solve it faster than he did lol.
So, back to my question, what can i do with math in the future? I feel like i want to have something math related but also not sitting at a desk all day teaching kids math or be an accountant in front of a computer in an office for hours. I've done sports all my life and I LOVE arts and crafts, i do soooo much, crochet, draw, read, origami, i am always doing something, i cant sit still.
With the constant pressure from my parents and relatives, I actually have no idea what I wanna do or be in the future, i dont have a goal. And as my parents always say "With a B average you are no good." So, am I dreaming too much and actually need to find something else to do since there isn't a magical job to have math and arts and crafts or sports included ha-ha?... Maybe someone knows what could match something close to what I already got.
I also speak russian fluently besides english, and have been learning spanish for the past 4 years if that can help in any way?
Due to a lot of childhood trauma I've been thinking on just giving up math completely and instead going into psychological sphere and become a child therapist, they get paid well and I love kids and would want to help them get through things that I have been in or similar, just be helpful in some way and comfort them...
I really need help and ideas and any tips will be deeply appreciated. <3
