Feeling Unprepared for Harder Classes
Hi everyone, I just wanted to get some insight on whether or not this is a normal feeling. I am currently at community college and am about to transfer to a university for Mechanical Engineering. Recently, I have been getting more and more worried about not being ready/prepared for classes, basically like my professors have all been so easy and it is going to be such a big increase in difficulty when I transfer that I won't be ready for.
For example, my statics professor, who worked in industry for years, swears that calculus isn't necessary in the real world so we haven't done any type of calculus. I felt fine about this unit I saw videos on other peoples statics classes, and how they're challenging since they use calculus for stuff like centroids. This professor, along with a few of my others in the past, have also allowed cheat sheets on the exams, meaning they are cake walk easy.
I have gotten all A's (other than 1 B in Calc II, long story but it wasn't due to difficulty) very easily and I feel like I just currently don't have the same grit that other people in my major do solely due to the fact that my classes have been so easy so far.
What should I do to be prepared for the increase in difficulty other than just deal with it when the time comes?
