So I am comically bad at finding k-spar in thin sections unless it has fairly obvious gridiron twinning. But sometimes in sections where I might suspect there to be k-spar, I see more frequent cases of plag grains having perpendicular polysynthetic twinning (which kind of reminds me of gridiron a bit but is clearly not). Is this an actual correlation or just coincidence/confirmation bias?
Also am aware that gridiron is a microcline thing but I'm just using k-spar as a catch-all as I am more concerned with finding if there's any at all rather than the particular member
