We’re planning a trip to Venice in late July (3 days, 2 nights) and would love some recommendations on how to experience the city in a more authentic, meaningful way.
We’re especially interested in:
- Must-see places that are genuinely worth it (and not just crowded tourist spots)
- Private or semi-private tours (walking, food, or cultural)
- A gondola experience done right
- Great restaurants and wine bars that locals actually enjoy
We’ve already reached out to a few companies for private airport transfers to our hotel, but would appreciate any guidance on the best way to handle that as well.
Overall, we’re hoping to enjoy Venice without spending too much time on tourist traps, and instead focus on experiences that really capture the character of the city.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
