I have a challenging problem. Our business does not heavily depend on our website, but we do depend on email. Our domain is hosted with GoDaddy. Recently I created a very basic landing page website using Hostinger's Builder tool. We are keeping our domain with GoDaddy. GoDaddy points emails to our own self-hosted email. When we went live, I relied on Kodee, the Hostinger AI support agent. Following instructions, I deleted our 'A' record at GoDaddy which pointed to a temporary web site hosted by GoDaddy. Then, I entered a CNAME record for www pointing to connect.hostinger.com. Thank quickly propagated, and as far as I know things were working fine. However, that did not work for the root domain, ie. without the www. So, I entered a forwarding record pointing the root domain to https://www [our domain]. Now, whether accessed from mobile or Chrome on a desktop, the screen is flashing from very frequent reloads. The reloads are so fast that the website is pretty useless. By the way, the AI agents on Hostinger are quite useless. They don't even understand their own website, blaming lack on knowledge on the premise that Hostinger has many different plans and builders. I realize this is difficult because I am trying to host a site at Hostinger and the domain at GoDaddy. Any help will be appreciated.
**Later update** Kodee says that I need to add a CNAME record at GoDaddy: CNAME @ → connect.hostinger.com . When I attempt to do that, I get the error message "Record data is invalid." So, on a hunch, I removed the forward mentioned above. Still, I get the same error.
