Private NIPT test in London, looking for others experiences

Hi all, me again! So I'm very anxious in pregnancy and in general, this is now my fourth pregnancy and I have one living child. I'm currently eight weeks and I'm debating getting the NIPT done when I am 10 weeks. I'm in South east London.

I've been googling a few places, and I know a nipt is more accurate than the NHS screening, which I will be getting as well.

To those of you who paid for it, how much was it, did it give you peace of mind/tell you anything concerning. I can't remember reading much about them when I had my son in 2024. After two miscarriages, one before my son and one after, I'm just looking to gain as much information about this current pregnancy as I can so that I can give it the best chance possible.

Also if anyone is near SE London and picked a clinic round there, if you could recommend somewhere that would be great. I'm looking more towards somewhere that isn't window to the womb. Nothing against them, but my local one doesn't offer it.

I feel like it's a lot of money to justify but of course it's worth it for peace of mind.

Thanks guys. X

Has anyone else had this on their Tommy's (if you use it) app ?

Hi all, this sub really helped me when I had my son two years ago. I'm now eight weeks pregnant with my fourth pregnancy, but I only have one living child. Long story short I had a natural early miscarriage with my first, then had my son successfully, then a missed miscarriage discovered at ten weeks last year, baby had died at eight weeks, which led to surgical management. The mva procedure.

My anxiety (as it always is when pregnant) has been off the scale worrying about a third miscarriage. I had my booking appointment last week and I've just logged onto my Tommy's app to take a look and I see this. I'm now panicking I'm at risk of a pre term birth and nobody has mentioned this to me.

My midwife didn't mention anything about that to me, and even said all my information on the Tommy's app has come back I am low risk. The only thing I can think of is the surgical management has put me at risk of pre term birth but nobody ever mentioned this as a risk factor to me before the surgery, nor after at any point. This is the only thing I can think of as I have no risk factors I am aware of and my son was born full term.

My question is- has anyone had this written on their app "assessment of placental function" is what's worrying me. Is this a standard thing they write or have you had it written on your app if you were at risk of a pre term birth ? I'm just really confused and it's making me spiral even more, and I'm already spiralling daily about the possibility of a third miscarriage.

Thank you for reading. X

Greggs gal from yesterday back again.

I call this one "my toddler is screaming and if I don't eat something that I can stomach then I will vomit on the Tesco floor immediately" I ate the crisps in there (paid for them after) and took the pasta home.

Greggs £3.70

Some of the only foods I can tolerate at the moment due to morning sickness.

To be fair, it would be my usual baguette of choice.
