I (19F) come from a very conservative and orthodox family where even talking to boys is not allowed.
A few months ago, I was using my brother’s old phone because mine was not working. On that phone, I mostly used Instagram for reels and WhatsApp casually.
I did talk to 1–2 boys, but it was nothing serious, just normal conversations. There were some emotional chats too, but no real relationship.
Yesterday, my brother randomly turned on that old phone, read all my chats, and told my mom. My parents haven’t directly confronted me yet, but I know they are discussing it.
( Younger brother ne mummy ko sb bta dia Truecaller pe name bhi aa gya us ladke ka or apne phone me ss le rkha h for proof jo maine attach kr diye h)
Now I’m really scared. If I accept it, I might lose their trust permanently and they may restrict me a lot. If I deny it, they already have proof, so that could make things worse.
I’m feeling anxious and can’t even focus on my studies. I don’t have anyone to talk to about this.
What should I do in this situation? Should I confront them first or wait? And how do I handle this without making things worse?
