Hi everyone! Would love to get some input from this community. I have two options in my area for cosmo school. One is about a 7 minute drive away, but it's full time hours (M-F) 8:30a-3:00p. The other is about 45 minutes away, evening classes 5:30-8:30p M-Th. The evening class program is longer, about a year and 4 months, while the other program is 7 months.
I have a pretty chill job at the moment that allows me to work from home and I make a decent salary, so the evening classes with the longer commute is appealing. It would definitely be nice to keep that job. I have a nice boss who leaves me alone. (Yes I know I'm very lucky 😂) However, I live in an area that gets treacherous when it's snowy in winter, so the 45 minute drive is notable. You can see the pros and cons here. I'll also add that my husband is a nurse and makes pretty good money, and we don't have kids, so we'd be okay for a while if I had to quit my job... but it's not like we're rolling in dough.
Any experiences with just going in full-time or taking the evening/part-time route while keeping your current job? Just looking for some insight and perspectives that I might not have thought of. Thanks!
Also... both programs have roughly the same tuition, so that is not really a factor.
