I’ve been seeing a lot of TikTok content lately demonizing the "Avoidant Attachment" style, painting them as cold or heartless. However, I feel like this is often just a clash of cognitive functions. For example, as an INTP, my need for logic and personal space is often misunderstood by high Si/Fe users who prioritize constant reassurance and traditional commitment.

It feels unfair to label someone as "selfish" or "cruel" just because they process emotions differently. Sometimes, it’s not about a lack of care, but a need for autonomy that the other side finds uncomfortable. Does anyone else feel like the internet is over-pathologizing people who just have a more detached personality type?

Is the "Avoidant" label becoming a scapegoat for T-types who just need space?
