Anyone propagate a Seedless Che before?

I had two grafted on to Osage orange rootstock. One died in our harsh winter - to be fair it never really looked good from the start. I read you can propagate green cuttings. I did them just like I’ve done with hydrangeas, rooting hormone, cut off most leaves, leave a few at the top, potting soil, humidity dome. Anyone succeed before?

I did a modified version of the fig pop method, leaving the top of the stem out of the bag. I assumed it would eventually leaf out on the nodes outside the bag, but if you zoom in, it’s growing inside the bag. What do I do? Open & push the bag below it & reseal? Or leave it? I don’t see any solid roots yet.

These are Heritage Red. Planted last year. Started growing great this spring, but now developing some yellowing leaves with brown edges. Is it some sort of disease? The canes that spread and popped up several inches away look fine.
