I got engaged in March of this year and have felt completely overwhelmed by the wedding planning process. I truly cannot justify spending tens of thousands of dollars on a wedding—it just feels so frivolous for us. I still want to do something really fun and special and so we’ve been considering doing a wedding “party” and buying out a restaurant. I am wondering if any of you have ever attended a restaurant wedding and what were your thoughts? Obviously it’s a more affordable route but did it feel cheap? Any advice you have for how I could possibly elevate the vibe/experience if we go this route? Any and all guidance is appreciated as I’m feeling pretty lost lol

Hello! I’m looking for restaurant recommendations for a full buyout. Looking for a place that can accommodate 120 people, looking at early fall 2027, and max budget is $35k. Specifically looking at Mexican or Mediterranean cuisine but would consider other options as well. I’d also loveee a restaurant that has a nice outdoor area as well but I know I can’t be too picky with my budget lol. South Bay is preferred but will consider SF too! TIA
