I had taken Zoloft 25mg in the past ( once in 2023 for 10 months and 2025 for 2 months). I had no side effects in the beginning and had stopped them both cold turkey ( I know, bad me). I recently started taking the Zoloft 25mg in April 2026 and had AWFUL side effects ( new intrusive thoughts I’ve never ever had before, lack of appetite, motivation and increased panic attacks). I took it for 2 1/2 weeks and stopped due to the side effects. My MD and therapist recommended I try Lexapro. I’ve been on Lexapro 5mg and will increase to 10mg next week. I just need some reassurance and hope please. I have generalized anxiety, but mostly with situational occurrences or triggers, never been constant every day.
