I sit in my car for lunch and it’s starting to heat up so I run the ac a bit but I don’t here the engine running so I’m just curious

I’ve tried network resets, car system resets, wired connection and nothing works, when the code pops up on my phone and I click pair it’ll sit “pairing” for about a minute then the message “make sure Toyota Camry is turned on, in range and ready to connect” but it is on and in range so not sure what to do now, if anyone has had this problem I’d appreciate the help
