Hi,

I have a weird issue with my P40i. When I use ANC or Transparency mode, the Kick/Bass and Claps in the music sound really bad. It’s like the earbud is struggling to handle the hit, and I feel a "burst of air" or a "harsh pop" inside my ear every time the bass hits hard.

The weird part is, when I switch to Normal mode with the exact same EQ settings, the sound is perfectly fine and the bass is clean. But in ANC/Transparency, it sounds "broken" and distorted.

It happens even in a quiet room, so it's not about the noise outside. It feels like the ANC processor is "fighting" the bass of the song and failing.

but why does it only sound bad in ANC mode? Is my unit defective?
