Bought a car in Florida, had it shipped here. Has a Fl temp tag on it, dealer said that was the only way since I never went in person. Pa notary said they would send a request to the financing bank for the title to register it. Today the dealer tells me they use some outside company that will actually send the title to PA directly with the bank listed as the lienholder on Monday. So I tell the notary, hey you need to get it from the state not the bank. She’s like ok “maybe they’ll send it to us.” I’m like no they won’t they don’t even know who I’m working with. Yous have to get it for me, she’s like “I’m not sure how we get it.” So my question is 1) Where does this title go exactly in the black hole of Penndot, and how do I get it to the notary? 2) Does my notary not do this for a living? 3) How long does this take, is it not all electronic? 4) Is there any way to get a pa temp tag if this is all still in process? The FL tag had 18 days on it left. Is it going to take longer than that?
