Does anyone work part-time? (Not because of kids)

Almost done with my pre-reqs for PA school. I have a humanities MA & BA and I am somewhat of an artist by trade, as my work has sold and been recieved well but not enough to make a full living. After working for a good amount of time as a PA, I was wondering if it is easy/realistic to go part-time so I can spend the other half my time on my art business. I know It's not the usual reason that people go part time (because they have kids), but my spouse and I are childfree and want to stay that way. I don't know if I will be judged for going part-time for this reason. I was curious if anyone has gone down a similiar path and has if it has worked out for them? Thank you!

As a newish museum professional, I don’t make a ton but I previously assumed that, as with other industries, salary would increase with inflation and maybe every two years small raises would occur. Now I am discovering this isn’t the case for my institution. I received a 2k increase to my yearly two years ago, but it’s been crickets since then. I was wondering if it’s like this in other/most institutions? Should I expect my pay to remain the same as when I first got hired? I’d love to hear your experiences.

On a side note, I’m pretty nervous about pay right now because it seems like things just keep getting worse and worse. I saw jobs that paid 50k 6 years ago that still pay 50k today, and I’m very nervous that if pay doesn’t increase soon I won’t just be struggling to afford a bad apartment, I will be completely unable to.
