Hello this is my mom’s cockatiel. Her name is Peeps and she is 3 years old. Just recently she has been plucking some of the feathers and her belly and I am not sure why. She doesn’t really have any behavioral issues that I am aware of or hormonal problems. She will lay a clutch a couple times a year and I have heard that the hormones from that can lead to plucking? Any advice on how to prevent this behavior would be appreciated!
