Planted this serviceberry a year ago in April. I see it’s sprouting little berry buds but they look funny? Some are smooth and some are bumpy/look deformed.
Shortly after planting the tree, my husband accidentally got it with a weed wacker because he got too close — resulting in the pictured wound. I’m worried it could have contracted a fungus or disease from this.
