DESPERATELY need Advice on Travelling Internationally with 1 Year Old Daughter

So I’m going on my first trip to Japan (YAYY) with my husband and our 1 year old daughter. My daughter is a great sleeper. She sleeps through the night and has 2 really good naps. I’m worried about transitioning her to the Tokyo time zone and how to do it without causing too much chaos. My plan is as follows:

Flight from Vancouver is at 4:45pm and we’ll arrive to Tokyo at 7pm. I live in Ottawa so my daughter would think 4:45pm Vancouver time is 7:45pm Ottawa time, which is wayyy past her bedtime (6pm is her bedtime). My plan is to treat the overnight plan ride as the time in Tokyo. So I’d let her sleep until 9:30pm Ottawa time, which is 10:30am Tokyo time. Then I’d keep her awake for a few hours, then put her down for a 2hr nap, and I’d do the same for the second nap and even though she doesn’t have a third nap, I’d give her a 30min cat nap an hour and a half before landing. By the time we land and arrive to our Airbnb, which I’m assuming could be at 9pm Tokyo time, I’d do her normal bedtime routine and hope that she’ll sleep through the night. But even if her nighttime sleep isn’t great, I’d wake her up at her usual wake up time, which is at 6am, and then take her out so that she can have a lot of sun exposure. We’ll take it easy for a day or two and stay near the Airbnb for her naps until she gets used to the time zone. Once she’s used to the time zone, I’m hoping to give her naps in the carrier and contact naps in nursery rooms when we’re out and about.

Does this sound like a good plan to help her get used to the time zone by starting on the flight to Tokyo?
