What the hell is Poco's update policy? F8 series abandoned? Why are older and cheaper phones prioritized over flagships?
Can anyone familiar with poco phones explain why a year old $200 phone gets the hyperOS 3.0.30x (3.1) and april patch update before their flagship phone? (F8 Ultra)
It feels very insulting that a $700 flagship phone is still stuck on a 3 month old update (February 2026) patch while older and much cheaper phones are already on April patch and 3.1.
Even more insulting is how the F8 Pro is treated. It's stuck on November 2025 patch ffs! I've literally seen a $150 phone get better update frequency than this.
I swore off Xiaomi phones back when I had the F2 Pro (8GB ram) due to how garbage MIUI was with ram management (Literally can't even keep 3-4 apps in the background and delayed notifications) and custom roms is what made it usable for me and I kept it for nearly 6 years.
The F8 Ultra is almost perfect in every way hardware wise but the software is what makes it very disappointing
