What did Boccaccio and Natale Conti write about the figures of Mercury and Prometheus, respectively? As Renaissance mythographers, I would have liked to know their studies and critiques of these myths in particular. If you have any answers, texts (translated, as I don't speak Italian), or articles that could inform me, I would be very grateful.

I'm working on myths, particularly those surrounding Mercury, and I've come across the term "Hermeticism." What is it, and what is its connection to Mercury (Hermes Trismegistus)? Also, is there a link between Hermeticism, Platonism, and Neoplatonism?
