It's common for movies and series to feature a slice to the inside of the hand whenever blood is required from a character. But I cannot, for the life of me, let go of the fact that a cut in the palm of your hand is an incredible inconvenience.

You'd need to keep your hand still and clean for days for it to fully heal in real life. Characters just wear a bandage around their hand for a few shots and are back to swordfighting, rock climbing, and whatever else in no time. It makes no sense and bugs me so bad.

I'd love to see directors get more creative with "convenient" places to draw blood. It would honestly impress me if they'd make it work in the story too.

I get it's dramatic, drawing a knife through a closed fist...but come on.
