Meet Marsmallow (Mars-mallow)! I got this leopard gecko for my husband as he's wanted one for a very long time so he also named them. I got them at a reptile event where my husband got to personally handle them & get told educational information of leopard geckos before making a decision to bring one home. I got them a 25 gallon tank to start, heat bulb (not light producing), calcium suppliment, temporarily on paper towels, crickets, dehydrated mealworms & currently this cutie is kept in my office so montioring them is part of my workday setup. I cleaned the old small shallow water bowl & small hide our ball python outgrew years ago & my husband got Mars the other hide you see them standing on. We are currently preparing to give them an appropriate substrate & making sure we pick an appropriate humid hide.

Mars has been eating well with crickets (fantastic hunter), peeks to check on me if I talk near their tank occassionally & has been pottying regularly and healthily. They are kept near a closed window for natural day/night and I am off the computer by 11pm with doors closed so all lights can be off & gives silence/calm away from all other animals (as this is when Mars likes to explore & hunt).

However, this is our first gecko! I would love to know any hide/humid hide suggestions and personally approved enrichment & clutter others have used and enjoyed for their gekos. I want to really set this guy up for success so my husband can have a wonderful buddy for a long time!
