I'm playing a goblin beast master ranger riding his beast of the land (wolf) animal companion. I also have the charger feat, so both the goblin and the wolf mount have a charge attack that activates "if you move at least 10/20 ft in a straight line prior to the hit", you deal extra damage.

Two questions:

- do both the goblin and the wolf get to use the charge feature on an attack when the goblin is mounted on the wolf and they charge into battle on the first round? (I think yes but im not sure)

- if I miss on my first attack, can the charge feature proc on the extra attack I get at lvl 5? (I think no, but I'm not sure)
