I am untested in a project to make a custom camera and custom firmware but I am struggling to source sensor larger than 1”. Does anyone here know of a source for full-frame sensors?

I am looking for a component that I can purchase from a company that will also sell me the data sheet and possibly any other components required for integration.

Edit: the project in question is to make a custom handheld camera. It’s purely for personal interest and will not be at volume. I work with seniors like this (though smaller) as part of my job so I am not worried about the integration but I don’t want to beat my head against trying to hack a harvested part. I know that’s going to end up being the only way to manage this but I am hoping someone here can save me from that.

I am working on a digital video program and would like to study up on compression and data optimization. It doesn’t have to be video specific but 2D and 3D signal processing is obviously a big part of this.
