Someone asked the other day "Six figure earners, what habits contributed to your success?" - my reply got a lot of interest so I thought I'd share more broadly......
I have earned on average 55K a month on OF for over 3.5 years now. I have seen hundreds of creators come and go and also been able to see dozens go on to make even more than me. Here is what I would surmise HIGH earners focus on - myself included. Success in ANY industry is mindset based.
If you’re not consistently bringing in new people, nothing else you’re doing matters.
Marketing is the job. Not content. Not chatting. Marketing. And many people have that completely backwards.
You can have great content.
You can be amazing in chat.
You can have perfect pricing.
But if fresh eyes aren’t landing on you every day, your income will always stall.
You’re not selling content - you’re selling YOURSELF.
Anyone can post a nude. That’s not the differentiator. What actually matters is:
- personality
- intrigue
- emotional pull
- making someone feel like they want access to YOU specifically
If your marketing shows everything, gives everything, or feels like everyone else… why would anyone pay?
The real skill isn’t copying - it’s thinking.
Most people: copy captions , copy trends & copy other creators. But don’t ask: why did that work? who is it attracting? would that audience even spend? If something isn’t working, don’t sit there hoping.
Analyse it.
Adjust it.
Test again.
Over and over.
You need to be self-sufficient.
No one is coming to save your income. People who do well often aren’t the most talented - they’re the ones who can figure things out faster than everyone else.
To be in the top 5%, you have to do what the other 95% don’t or won’t.
I have said it countless times. To get business-like results ($$) you have to act like you are running a business your actions need to be business-like. That means:
- showing up when you don’t feel like it
- staying consistent when views drop
- cutting off time-wasters
- learning the platforms instead of blaming them (e.g. Instagram)
Most people say they want it. But very few actually operate like they do.
Thinking hard about how you use your time - If you only had 1 hour a day…
That hour is not for:
- over-editing content
- chatting for free
- scrolling for ideas
That hour is for:
- getting in front of new people
- pulling them into your world
- giving them a reason to spend
Everything else is secondary.
Stop asking “how do I make more money?”
Start asking: How do I get in front of more right people and make them want me? Once you work that out the money almost always follows.
