I have an old 30d with a few nice ef and efs lenses.

10-22 efs (my favorite)

70-200L f4 non is (loved it for equestrian shooting, but we do not compete anymore).

And some budget lenses
50mm plastic fantastuc

18-55 efs is kit lens

I stopped lugging the stuff around due to size and weight, but my daughter likes to shoot pictures with the gear.

I am very tempted to go mirrorless alsondor video, but if I go R7 and adapter I pretty much have the same weight. Id really like to size down.

An R10 and a small.wideangle might be much smaller, but i'd loose out on IBIS. Also, the 70-200 with adapter would maybe be too much for that body. Otoh, that lens is not seeing any action lately.

Cheap option: an 2000d second hand and just forgo the upgrade and let her mess around.

Left field would go to Sony for its smaller bodies, but ergonomics and reinvestnent of lenses just feels bad.

Might as well ask the opinion of the community.
