I’ve been reselling for a while now (mostly clothing/vintage stuff on Depop/eBay) and one thing I always wished existed was an app where you could quickly scan an item while thrifting and instantly get resale info, comps, demand, etc.
So over the last few months I started building one myself called FlipStart.
The goal is:
\- snap a few photos
\- AI identifies the item
\- estimates resale value/profit potential
\- eventually shows demand, sell-through rate, fake checks, platform comparisons, etc.
I’m still in beta and the backend is still being stabilized, but I finally got the UI to a point where it actually feels like a real app instead of a prototype.
Would genuinely love feedback from actual thrifters/resellers:
\- What features would you actually want?
\- What would make this useful enough to use regularly?
\- What would make you instantly uninstall it?
Not trying to hard-sell anything — just trying to build something genuinely useful for the thrifting/reselling community.
