Been on minoxidil for over a year now and fin for 7 months and haven’t really noticed any change at all. Am I doing something wrong or Is it too late for me besides a transplant? Also any hairstyles you would recommend because no way I’m going bald at 20 I’d rather keep any hair I have left already for a couple more years.
For context on the photos the first three I took today, the next one is from the last time I had my hair super short and the last photo is what my hair used to look like pre balding. So my hairline started receding my junior year of high school a few years ago and I started taking minoxidil during my senior year (February 2025) and have been taking it since. I have been on finasteride for maybe 7 months now. I have noticed no real change in my hair thickness, any bald spots going away, or my hairline getting any better. But it’s also not gotten any worse. I’m wondering if it’s jsut too late for me and the only way to fix it would be to get a transplant. I just turned 20 and I’m not ready to lose my hair yet 😭. So if anyone has any advice on what I could be doing wrong or if I should just accept it? Also with my current hair situation I’m wondering what haircut would suit me best. I like the back longer cause it’s still thick and curly back there but idk that’s making me look worse or not. For now I just wear hats 24/7 and I hate wearing hats but I hate how I look without them even more
