It was always about freebies, caste and religion. If you think otherwise you are just lying to yourself.
A party with thousands of crores will always trump a party with hundreds of crores.

Prediction for future -
Assam will undergo massive industrialisation. Climate will deteriorate even further because this. Tourist from other states will avoid Assam ( growing trend already). There will be lots of migration of workers from UP, Bihar, Bengal, Jharkhand etc.

There is no chance of new government in Assam until power in Centre changes and as we all know that wont happen in foreseeable future.
