For context, there’s been rioting in the town of Alice Springs following the arrest of a man accused of murdering a five year old girl who was discovered on Thursday.

This is mainly due to a dispute with authorities over Traditional Payback, essentially the death penalty formerly used by the indigenous.

Protesters found and beat the fugitive unconscious, where police subsequently arrested him. The protesters went on to gather at the local hospital that he was taken to.
