Hi everyone,

I recently joined Company A in the tech industry, and it’s only been 2 days. However, I may soon receive an offer from Company B, which is honestly my dream company and also offers a significantly better compensation package.

I’m currently on F1 OPT, so I wanted to ask if it’s okay to leave Company A this early and switch to Company B once I receive the offer.

I also feel a bit guilty because everyone at Company A has been really welcoming they even took me out for lunch today since I just joined. I’m not sure how to break the news professionally if I decide to leave.

Has anyone in tech gone through something similar on OPT? Any advice would really help.
