Just for some background, I've been overweight ever since I can remember, and I've always felt insecure about my body. In recent years, I've gained confidence in myself and my appearance, but the desire to lose weight has stayed.
I'm about 5'1 and my weight hovers around 205 pounds. I don't have a very active lifestyle, though I'm working on changing that. I do truly want to better my eating habits + exercise level, but my biggest struggle is with motivation. I have a diagnosis of Dysthymia (Persistent Depressive Disorder), and so truly motivating myself is a struggle for me, but I realize that physical health and mental health go hand in hand.
I was just wondering if there are any tips and tricks that could help me stay motivated? I'm not looking for fast or easy weight loss. I know it's going to take months and I don't want to use any of the recent medications to slim down quick. I think a more natural approach would be best for keeping the weight off, making actual changes to my life style. I'm just a bit lost on how to get myself into the headspace of fully committing.
