How stressful is the UCSB Statistics & Data Science major for transfers?

I recently got admitted to UCSB as a third-year transfer for Pre-Statistics & Data Science, and I attached the sample 2-year transfer plan I found for the major.
I wanted to ask: is this considered a stressful workload for most transfer students?
I’m coming from a CS background and have already taken upper-division programming/systems/theory classes at my current school, so I’m mainly trying to understand how difficult the statistics side of the major is at UCSB.

Hi everyone!

I recently got accepted as a transfer student to UCSB from UC Santa Cruz, and I’m really excited about the possibility of coming to Santa Barbara. I wanted to ask current students what life at UCSB is actually like.

How is the overall student life and campus environment? Is it easy to meet people and make friends as a transfer student? I’m also curious about what classes are like, especially upper-division classes.

I’m planning to study Statistics and Data Science, so I’d love to hear from anyone in the major. How are the PSTAT classes, professors, workload, and overall difficulty? Is the major manageable for transfer students, and are there good opportunities for internships, research, or career prep?

I also had some practical questions about housing and parking. How hard is it to find housing near campus or in Isla Vista? Is parking difficult or expensive for students? Are there any tips you wish you knew before transferring?

I’d really appreciate any advice.
