Hi, hoping this is suitable for this sub…

We are purchasing a house that will need quite a few packages of work carried out to modernise it and given the possible number of trades and thus admin / co-ordination we were wondering if it made sense to employ a project manager. We don’t think we can employ one contractor as the works are as follows:

- roof needs significant work ( we have a found a highly rated local contractor who has done work on the road and is familiar with the houses and construction) associated works to soffits etc too

- windows and doors to replace

- works needed to replace cavity wall ties

- hard landscaping works in garden

- downstairs WC needs replacing and there’s some general works in that area to reconfigure a utility space into a home office

- general making good jobs throughout the house which might be decorating, carpentry, electrical, small builders work

- possible solar installation whilst works on roof getting done.

Does anyone know if project managers would take on the above and if it would be cost effective to do so? All in it might be about £100k of work and might be 5-6 different contractors minimum… we really just want the works done as quickly as possible after moving in so we’re thinking having it all managed in one might make sense? It’s more a collection of small- medium sized jobs so wasn’t sure if it would be harder to get someone interested as opposed to a full home renovation.

Any advice would be appreciated!!

Thanks
