Hi I don’t usually post but I’m desperate for some conversation on this!!

I’m taking my prereqs and I was doing pretty well, but my father passed away pretty early in the semester and it severely impacted my life. My grades have tanked to 3 solid straight B’s because I was scared of withdrawing from school and taking time to grieve.

I’m attempting to get into an Associate’s program- you know the drill, the requirements are a 2.5 gpa, but they can get competitive. Repeated classes have their grades averaged out so I would hate to try and take a class again only to not really improve my chances. Have I screwed up my application before I’ve even started, or do you think I could take some corequisites and pull it back up? Some volunteer work maybe?

Any advice would be appreciated, lol!
